How to request cancellation, how completed work is reviewed, and what happens before a refund is initiated.

What a cancellation request means
Cancellation, the proposed refund and the actual refund outcome are separate. Baboor reviews documented work and relevant costs. A proposal may be full, partial or zero, with reasons and evidence for deductions.
Payment and production are different stages
| Stage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Payment confirmed — Order created | Payment is confirmed and an order exists. This does not by itself mean production has started. The order workspace shows this stage as “Order created”. |
| In production — In progress | The approved work is being produced. Work actually completed and relevant unrecoverable costs are considered in a cancellation review. |
| Delivered | Final files have been delivered. This is not an automatic terminal closure. |
| Completed | The order has reached its authorised completed state. |
| Order cancelled | The order has reached its authorised cancelled state. This label alone is not proof that a refund was made. |
Before production, work such as input review may already have taken place. A paid order is therefore not automatically a promise of a full refund. After final approval or delivery there is no ordinary refund under the policy; correction of a genuine production error or scope mismatch remains required, and mandatory rights still apply.
Where and when to request cancellation
Open the relevant order workspace and use its cancellation request when that action is available. Review the warning and policy before confirming the request. Once the request is recorded, production is paused while Baboor reviews it.
Availability is determined by the authorised state and permissions of that order. The legal page does not offer a cancellation form or change an order. If the action is unavailable, raise a question in the relevant order or contact legal@baboorstudio.com.
Cancelling or leaving an unpaid Checkout is a separate recovery flow. It is not cancellation of an existing paid order.
How the proposal is calculated
The starting amount is what you actually paid after any discount. There is no vague administrative fee or fixed penalty. Every deduction needs a reason and evidence. Stage percentages are maximum caps on the work-value deduction, not automatic charges: where the actual value is lower, that lower value applies.
Add-ons are calculated separately according to their own actual progress. The refund cannot be negative.
| Latest stage | Maximum work-value deduction |
|---|---|
| Payment confirmed only | 0% |
| Intake and file review | 10% |
| Production started; no preview | 35% |
| First preview | 70% |
| Revision | 90% |
| Final approved / delivered | 100% |
| Latest stage | Maximum work-value deduction |
|---|---|
| Payment confirmed only | 0% |
| Intake review | 10% |
| Master in production; not presented | 25% |
| Master / direction presented | 40% |
| Direction approved and full production | 60% |
| Full project preview | 80% |
| Revision | 90% |
| Final approved / delivered | 100% |
These caps concern the value of work. Actual non-recoverable third-party costs and fees actually not returned are separate documented items in the formula. The order status by itself does not calculate a refund.
Review, questions and acceptance
- Baboor reviews the work and supporting records, then presents a refund proposal showing the amount, each deduction, the reasons and any deliverable work.
- You may accept the current proposal or ask a question or raise a concern. Silence is not acceptance.
- Acceptance is recorded for the relevant proposal version. A proposed amount is not a completed refund.
- Refund progress and the confirmed outcome are recorded in the same order. Refund completed remains separate from the order’s terminal state.
Refund method and timing
The standard refund returns through Stripe to the original payment method. Bank information is not requested in the normal process. An exceptional alternative requires the standard route to have failed or be impossible, and explicit Founder authorisation.
A parallel refund is paused during a chargeback process to avoid double refunding. This does not remove the customer’s legal rights.
If Baboor cannot complete the work
If Baboor cannot complete the order without fault by the client, the unperformed part is refunded in full and Stripe fees are not passed to the client.
After final approval or delivery, the absence of an ordinary refund does not remove the requirement to correct genuine production errors or a mismatch with the agreed scope.
Mandatory rights and early starts
Any applicable mandatory consumer rights take precedence, including rules concerning the early start of services. Business-purchase acknowledgement does not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Where applicable, an early-start request is obtained independently before Checkout. It is not hidden in cookie choices or privacy wording.
I request that Baboor Studio may begin the service before the end of any applicable 14-day cancellation period. I understand that I may have to pay for work supplied before cancellation and that any applicable cancellation right may end once the service has been fully performed.
Version, questions and related documents
Effective 28 September 2026. This is the published version of this document for orders accepted from that date.
Published versions will remain available as part of the relevant order record. A later document does not silently replace the version accepted for an existing order.
This policy is accepted with the Terms of Service before Checkout. A material change before payment requires renewed acceptance. Your existing order retains the applicable accepted version.
